Wash the asparagus and snap off the woody ends. Cut into bite-sized pieces.

Heat butter or olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add asparagus and sauté for 5-7 minutes until tender-crisp.

Push asparagus to one side of the skillet or remove and set aside. Fry the eggs in the same skillet until whites are set and yolks are runny.
