  • Canned white beans (e.g., navy or cannellini), drained and rinsed2 cans (approx. 400g each)
  • Bacon, diced150g
  • Onion, finely chopped1/2
  • Garlic, minced2 cloves
  • Ketchup1/2 cup
  • Brown sugar2 tbsp
  • Yellow mustard1 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce1 tbsp
  • Saltto taste
  • Black pepperto taste
  • Water or vegetable broth1/4 cup

    In a large skillet, cook diced bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove bacon with a slotted spoon, leaving about 2 tbsp of fat in the skillet.

    Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

    Stir in ketchup, brown sugar, yellow mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well.

    Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce heat to low. Cover and cook for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sauce has thickened and beans are heated through.
