- Canned white beans (e.g., navy or cannellini), drained and rinsed2 cans (approx. 400g each)
- Bacon, diced150g
- Onion, finely chopped1/2
- Garlic, minced2 cloves
- Ketchup1/2 cup
- Brown sugar2 tbsp
- Yellow mustard1 tsp
- Worcestershire sauce1 tbsp
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste
- Water or vegetable broth1/4 cup

In a large skillet, cook diced bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove bacon with a slotted spoon, leaving about 2 tbsp of fat in the skillet.

Add chopped onion to the skillet and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

Stir in ketchup, brown sugar, yellow mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix well.

Add the drained and rinsed beans, cooked bacon, and water/broth. Stir to combine.

Bring the mixture to a simmer, then reduce heat to low. Cover and cook for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sauce has thickened and beans are heated through.
