- Crusty rolls or bratwurst buns4
- Sauerkraut1 (16 oz) can or package, drained
- Coarse-grain mustardto taste
- Butter or oil (for cooking)1 tbsp
- Saltto taste

Prepare the bratwurst: Grill or pan-fry the bratwurst sausages in a lightly oiled or buttered pan over medium heat until browned and cooked through, about 10-15 minutes. Turn frequently.

While the bratwurst cooks, gently warm the drained sauerkraut in a small saucepan over low heat, or serve it cold.

Warm the crusty rolls or buns.

Place a cooked bratwurst into each roll.

Top generously with sauerkraut and a dollop of coarse-grain mustard.
