Ingredients
- Bell peppers (any color)4 large
- Ground beef1 lb
- Yellow onion1 medium
- Provolone or mozzarella cheese, shredded1 cup
- Cooking oil1 tbsp
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the bell peppers in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes. Place the pepper halves cut-side up on a baking sheet.

Finely dice the yellow onion. Heat 1 tbsp of cooking oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

Add the ground beef to the frying pan with the onions. Break up the beef with a spoon and cook until browned. Drain off any excess fat. Season the beef mixture with salt and black pepper.

Stir the shredded cheese into the cooked beef and onion mixture. Mix well.

Spoon the cheesesteak filling evenly into the prepared bell pepper halves.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the bell peppers are tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
