Ingredients
- Wide egg noodles12 ounces
- Butter5 tablespoons
- Shallots, finely chopped1/2 cup
- Garlic, minced3 cloves
- All-purpose flour1/3 cup
- Chicken broth2 cups
- Heavy cream1 cup
- Dry sherry1/4 cup
- Cooked smoked turkey, diced3 cups
- Smoked Gouda cheese, shredded1.5 cups
- Parmesan cheese, grated1/4 cup

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook wide egg noodles according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet or Dutch oven, melt 5 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add finely chopped shallots and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute more until fragrant.

Sprinkle flour over the shallots and garlic, stirring to combine. Cook for 1-2 minutes.

Gradually whisk in chicken broth, heavy cream, and dry sherry until smooth. Bring to a simmer and cook, stirring, until the sauce thickens, about 7-10 minutes.

Stir in the diced smoked turkey and 1 cup of the shredded smoked Gouda cheese, plus the grated Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Add the drained egg noodles to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
