Sastojci
- Sauerkraut (Kisela repa)750 g
- Pre-cooked smoked sausage (e.g., Kielbasa)400 g
- Onion1 medium
- Garlic2 cloves
- Bay leaf1
- Paprika (sweet)1 tsp
- Black pepper1/2 tsp
- Saltto taste
- Water or broth250 ml
- Vegetable oil1 tbsp

Drain the sauerkraut and chop if needed.

Slice the smoked sausage into rounds.

Finely chop the onion and mince the garlic.

Heat oil in a pot over medium heat. Sauté the onion until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add the sliced sausage and cook for a few minutes until lightly browned.

Stir in paprika and cook for 30 seconds.

Add the sauerkraut, bay leaf, and water or broth. Season with black pepper.

Bring to a simmer, then cover and cook for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauerkraut is tender and flavors are combined.
