- Tomatoes400g
- Sweet paprika3 tbsp
- Hot paprika1 tsp
- Garlic3 cloves
- Vegetable oil4 tbsp
- Flour1 tbsp
- Water200ml
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste

Dice the onions and mince the garlic.

Cut the pike perch fillets into large chunks.

Heat vegetable oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat. Add the diced onions and sauté until softened and translucent, about 8-10 minutes.

Stir in the minced garlic, sweet paprika, and hot paprika. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant, stirring constantly.

Add the chopped tomatoes (or canned diced tomatoes) and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Sprinkle the flour over the onion and tomato mixture and stir well to combine. Cook for 1 minute.

Gradually pour in the water, stirring to create a smooth sauce. Bring to a simmer.

Season the sauce with salt and black pepper to taste.

Gently add the pike perch chunks to the simmering sauce. Ensure the fish is submerged.
