- Hard-boiled eggs4
- Fried anchovies (ikan bilis)1/2 cup

Cook jasmine rice with coconut milk, pandan leaves, and salt until fluffy.

Prepare sambal paste by blending soaked dried chilies, shallots, garlic, and belacan.

Clean and cut squid. Marinate with tamarind paste, sugar, and salt.

Heat oil. Sauté sambal paste until fragrant. Add marinated squid and cook until tender. Add petai beans and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.

Serve the coconut rice with the Sambal Sotong and Petai. Garnish with sliced hard-boiled eggs, fried anchovies, roasted peanuts, and cucumber slices.
