Prepare nasi impit by cooking glutinous rice, pressing, cooling, and cubing.

Heat cooking oil in a pot. Sauté the blended chili, dried shrimp, shallots, garlic, and lemongrass until fragrant and oil separates.

Add the ground peanuts and stir well. Cook for a few minutes.

Pour in the coconut milk and tamarind paste. Add palm sugar and salt. Stir until sugar dissolves.

Simmer the sauce over low heat, stirring frequently, until it thickens and the flavors meld. Adjust sweetness and saltiness.

Serve the nasi impit cubes with the spicy sweet peanut sauce. Garnish with chili slices and fried shallots.
