- Pre-packaged Vietnamese herbal soup mix (e.g., 'Gà Tiềm' mix)1 packet
- Ginger, thinly sliced20 g
- Water1.5 liters
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste

Rinse chicken pieces and blanch in boiling water for 2 minutes. Drain and rinse under cold water.

In a pot, combine chicken, ginger slices, and the contents of the herbal soup mix packet.

Add 1.5 liters of water. Bring to a boil over high heat.

Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 45-50 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and tender.
