- Pre-marinated duck pieces1 kg
- Star fruit (sấu)4-5 pieces, sliced
- Taro root150g, cut into chunks
- Lemongrass2 stalks, bruised
- Garlic2 cloves, minced
- Fish sauce2 tbsp
- Culantro (ngò gai)1/2 bunch, chopped
- Rice vermicelli noodles300g
- Assorted fresh vegetablesfor serving
- Saltto taste
- Wateras needed
- Black pepperto taste

In a pot, combine pre-marinated duck, bruised lemongrass, sliced star fruit, and taro root.

Add enough water to cover the ingredients. Bring to a boil.

Reduce heat and simmer for 30-40 minutes, or until duck and taro are tender. Skim off any impurities.

Stir in minced garlic, fish sauce, salt, and black pepper to taste. Add chopped culantro.

Serve immediately with cooked rice vermicelli noodles and fresh vegetables.
