- Yellow onions2 large
- Sirene cheese (Bulgarian white brine cheese)6 oz
- Eggs2 large
- Butter3 tablespoons
- Vegetable oil2 tablespoons
- Salt1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper1/4 teaspoon
- Fresh dill, chopped (for garnish)2 tablespoons

Thinly slice onions and sauté in oil until softened and lightly golden. Let cool slightly.

In a bowl, mix eggs, crumbled sirene cheese, cooled onions, salt, and pepper.

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Melt butter.

Line a skillet (oven-safe) or baking dish with one sheet of puff pastry, brushing with butter. Spread the filling over the pastry.

Top with another sheet of puff pastry, sealing the edges. Brush the top with remaining butter.
