- Garlic, minced2 cloves
- Heavy cream200ml
- Chicken or vegetable broth400ml

- Flour1 tbsp
- Black pepper1 tsp

- Thyme, freshfor garnish

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).

Melt butter in an oven-safe skillet or pot over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add cubed pork and brown on all sides. Season with salt and black pepper.

Add sliced mushrooms and minced garlic. Cook for 5-7 minutes until mushrooms are tender and browned.

Sprinkle flour over the pork and vegetable mixture and stir for 1 minute.

Gradually whisk in the chicken broth and heavy cream until smooth. Bring to a simmer.

Stir in the uncooked rice. Ensure the rice is submerged in the liquid. If using, stir in grated Parmesan cheese.

Cover the skillet or transfer the mixture to a casserole dish and cover tightly with foil.

Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the liquid is absorbed. Check halfway through and stir if needed.
