  • Beef chuck roast700 g
  • Canned diced tomatoes400 g
  • Onions1 large
  • Garlic3 cloves
  • Tomato paste1 tbsp
  • Beef broth200 ml
  • Dried oregano1 tsp
  • Saltto taste
  • Black pepperto taste
  • Vegetable oil1 tbsp

    Cut beef into 2-3 cm cubes. Season with salt and pepper.

    Heat vegetable oil in a pot over medium-high heat. Brown the beef cubes in batches.

    Remove beef. Add chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

    Add minced garlic and tomato paste, cook for 1 minute.

    Return beef to the pot. Add diced tomatoes (undrained), beef broth, and oregano.

    Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat, cover, and cook for 1 to 1.5 hours, or until beef is tender.

    Adjust seasoning. Serve hot.
