- Olive oil1 tablespoon
- Garlic, pre-minced2 teaspoons
- Marinara sauce (good quality)1 (24 ounce) jar
- Dry white wine1/4 cup
- Fresh parsley, chopped2 tablespoons

- Black pepperto taste

Clean the mussels under cold water, discarding any that are open and don't close when tapped.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet with a lid over medium-high heat. Add the pre-minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Pour in the marinara sauce and white wine. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.

Add the cleaned mussels to the skillet. Cover and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until mussels open. Shake the pan occasionally.

Remove any unopened mussels. Stir in fresh parsley and season with salt and pepper.
