- Tahini1/4 cup
- Lemon juice2 tbsp
- Garlic powder1/2 tsp
- Salt1/2 tsp
- Olive oil1 tbsp (plus more for serving)
- Sumac (for garnish)pinch

Drain most of the liquid from the canned chickpeas, but reserve a tablespoon or two.

Combine chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and olive oil in a food processor.

Process until mostly smooth, adding a tablespoon of the reserved chickpea liquid if needed to reach desired consistency.

Transfer to a serving dish, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with sumac.
