- Granulated sugar120g
- Eggs2 large
- Butter, melted60g
- Instant yeast5g
- Lemon zest1/2 tsp
- Vanilla extract1/2 tsp
- Salt1/4 tsp
- Egg yolk, for brushing1

Warm milk slightly. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, instant yeast, salt, lemon zest, and vanilla.

In a separate bowl, whisk eggs and melted butter. Add the warm milk and yeast mixture.

Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. Knead for 5-7 minutes until mostly smooth.

Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled.

Divide dough into 3 ropes. Braid them together and place on a baking sheet.

Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.

Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F). Brush with egg yolk.

Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
