- Beef stew meat, cubed500 g
- Onions, chopped2 medium
- Garlic, minced2 cloves
- Sweet Hungarian paprika2 tbsp
- Beef broth1 liter
- Potatoes, cubed300 g
- Carrots, sliced1 large
- Tomato paste1 tbsp
- Vegetable oil1 tbsp
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste
- Sour cream (for garnish)optional
- Fresh dill (for garnish)optional

Heat vegetable oil in a pot over medium-high heat. Brown the beef stew meat.

Add chopped onions and sauté until softened.

Stir in minced garlic, sweet paprika, and tomato paste. Cook for 1 minute.

Pour in the beef broth. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 30 minutes.

Add cubed potatoes and sliced carrots. Season with salt and pepper.

Continue to simmer, covered, for another 25-30 minutes, or until beef and vegetables are tender.
