
Quick Pan-Fried Peppers with Sirene

A simplified version of the classic, this recipe uses raw peppers cut into strips and quickly pan-fried with a sirene cheese and egg coating. Faster to prepare but still delicious.

- Sirene cheese (crumbled)150g
- Eggs2
- All-purpose flour50g
- Vegetable oil (for frying)as needed
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste
- Fresh dill (for garnish)optional

Cut the bell peppers into thick strips, about 1-inch wide. Remove seeds.

In a bowl, whisk the eggs with crumbled sirene cheese. Season with salt and pepper.

Place the flour on a separate plate.

Dip each pepper strip into the flour, shaking off excess, then coat thoroughly with the sirene-egg mixture.

Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry the coated pepper strips for about 3-4 minutes per side, until golden and the pepper is slightly softened.

Remove from skillet and drain on paper towels. Garnish with fresh dill if desired.
