Finely chop the red bell pepper. Dice the tomatoes. Mince the garlic.

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Stir in the diced tomatoes, smoked paprika, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes until the sauce thickens.
