Ingredients
- Smoked clams1 pound, chopped
- Butter3 tablespoons
- Leeks2 medium, white and light green parts only, thinly sliced
- All-purpose flour1/4 cup
- Chicken or vegetable broth3 cups
- Milk1 cup
- Potatoes2 medium, peeled and diced
- Fresh corn kernels1 cup
- Heavy cream1/2 cup
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste
- Fresh chives, choppedfor garnish

Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat. Sauté leeks until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
