In a small bowl, combine warm milk, water, sugar, and yeast. Let stand for 5-10 minutes until foamy.

In a large bowl, whisk together flour and salt.

Add the yeast mixture, eggs, and half of the softened butter to the flour mixture. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Gradually add the remaining softened butter, kneading until fully incorporated and the dough is smooth and elastic (about 10-15 minutes).

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1.5-2 hours, or until doubled in size.

Punch down the dough and divide it into 10 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball.

Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover and let rise for another 45-60 minutes.

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
