Ingredients

- powdered sugar0.75 cup

- large egg yolk1

In a large bowl, cream together softened butter and powdered sugar until smooth and pale.

Beat in the egg yolk and almond extract until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined to form a soft dough.

Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and chill for at least 1 hour, or until firm.

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
