- Onion, finely chopped1 medium
- Garlic, minced2 cloves
- Egg1
- Breadcrumbs50g
- Milk50ml
- Parmesan cheese, grated30g

- Cheese slices (e.g., Gouda or Mozzarella)4 slices
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)1 tbsp

Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, milk, and grated Parmesan cheese.

Season generously with salt and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated. Do not overmix.

Form the mixture into small meatballs, about 3-4 cm in diameter.

Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the meatballs for 2-3 minutes per side until lightly browned.

Alternatively, place meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Place the skillet or baking sheet in the preheated oven. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through.

Remove from oven. Top each meatball with a slice of cheese.

Return to the oven for another 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
