Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease and flour a 9x5 inch loaf pan or an 8x8 inch baking pan.

In a large bowl, whisk together cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and melted butter.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
