- Shredded white cheese (e.g., feta or sirene)100g
- Vegetable oil for frying500ml
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)to taste

In a small bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.

In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and shredded cheese. Mix until a soft, slightly sticky dough forms.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. The cheese will be incorporated.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.

Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot or fryer to 170-180°C (340-350°F).

Wet your hands slightly and pinch off small pieces of dough. Gently stretch them into irregular shapes.

Carefully drop the dough pieces into the hot oil. Fry for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and puffed.
