  • Active dry yeast5g
  • Salt1/2 tsp
  • Shredded white cheese (e.g., feta or sirene)100g
  • Vegetable oil for frying500ml
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)to taste

    In a small bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.

    In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and shredded cheese. Mix until a soft, slightly sticky dough forms.

    Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth. The cheese will be incorporated.

    Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
