- Ground hazelnuts50g
- Unsalted butter, softened150g
- Powdered sugar100g
- Egg yolk1
- Vanilla extract1 tsp
- Salt1 pinch

In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and 100g of powdered sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the egg yolk and vanilla extract until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, ground hazelnuts, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined to form a soft dough.

Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 45 minutes.

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1cm thickness. Shape into small crescent moons.

Place the kiflice on the prepared baking sheets.

Bake for 13-16 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The hazelnuts will add a slightly deeper color.

Let the kiflice cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
