- Fresh or frozen corn kernels150g
- Smoked pork ribs200g
- Smoked sausage (e.g., Kulen or similar)150g
- Onion1 large
- Garlic3 cloves
- Carrots2 medium
- Potatoes1 medium
- Tomatoes (canned crushed)150g
- Beef or vegetable broth1.2 liters
- Olive oil1 tbsp
- Bay leaf1
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste
- Fresh rosemaryfor garnish

Soak dried beans overnight. Drain and rinse.

In a large pot, brown the smoked pork ribs. Remove and set aside.

In the same pot, sauté chopped onion until softened. Add minced garlic and diced carrots, cook for 5 minutes.

Add the soaked beans, crushed tomatoes, bay leaf, and broth. Add the browned pork ribs back to the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 1.5 hours.

Add diced potatoes, corn kernels, and sliced smoked sausage. Continue to simmer for another 45 minutes, or until beans, potatoes, and ribs are tender.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Remove bay leaf.
