A classic Dalmatian dish featuring tender Swiss chard and potatoes, simply prepared with garlic and olive oil. This is the quintessential comfort food from the Croatian coast.

Sastojci
- Swiss chard1 kg
- Potatoes1 kg
- Garlic4 cloves
- Olive oil4 tbsp
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste

Wash the Swiss chard thoroughly and separate the leaves from the stems. Chop the stems into small pieces and the leaves into larger pieces.

Peel and cube the potatoes into bite-sized pieces.

In a large pot, boil the potato cubes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain most of the water, leaving about 1/4 cup.

Add the chopped Swiss chard stems to the pot with the potatoes and cook for about 5 minutes.

Add the Swiss chard leaves and cook until wilted, about 5-7 minutes.

While the chard is cooking, mince the garlic.

Drain any excess water from the pot. Add the minced garlic and olive oil to the pot.

Gently toss everything together to combine. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
