Cook penne pasta according to package directions. Drain.

While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced mushrooms and cook until browned, about 4-5 minutes.

Add pre-cooked chicken strips to the skillet and heat through, about 2 minutes.

In a small bowl, whisk together half-and-half cream, crumbled chicken bouillon cube, garlic powder, and cornstarch until smooth.

Pour the cream mixture into the skillet with the chicken and mushrooms. Cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens, about 3-4 minutes.
