  • Canned white beans (e.g., Cannellini)2 cans (approx. 800g total)
  • Smoked sausage (e.g., Kobasica)250g
  • Onion1 medium
  • Garlic2 cloves
  • Carrot1 medium
  • Tomato paste2 tbsp
  • Paprika (sweet)1 tsp
  • Vegetable oil1 tbsp
  • Saltto taste
  • Black pepperto taste
  • Water or broth500ml

    Drain and rinse the canned beans.

    Slice the smoked sausage into rounds.

    Finely chop the onion, garlic, and grate the carrot.

    Heat the oil in a pot over medium heat. Sauté the onion until softened, about 5 minutes. Add the garlic and carrot, cook for another 3 minutes.

    Stir in the tomato paste and paprika, cook for 1 minute.

    Add the sliced sausage and cook for 5 minutes until lightly browned.

    Add the rinsed beans, water or broth, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.

    Simmer for at least 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. The stew should thicken slightly.

    Adjust seasoning before serving.
