  • Sauerkraut (Kiseli kupus)750 g
  • Smoked kielbasa or other smoked sausage400 g
  • Onion1 medium
  • Garlic2 cloves
  • Bay leaf1
  • Paprika (sweet)1/2 tsp
  • Vegetable oil1 tbsp
  • Water or brothas needed
  • Saltto taste
  • Black pepperto taste

    Drain the sauerkraut. Slice the smoked sausage into rounds.

    Finely chop the onion and mince the garlic.

    Heat oil in a pot over medium heat. Sauté the onion until translucent, then add garlic and cook for 1 minute.

    Add the sliced sausage and cook for a few minutes until lightly browned.

    Stir in the paprika.

    Add the sauerkraut and bay leaf. Pour in enough water or broth to cover.
