Bahan

  • Patin fish (catfish)500g
  • Tempoyak (fermented durian)100g
  • Chili paste (sambal oelek or similar)2 tbsp
  • Shallots2
  • Garlic2 cloves
  • Water150ml
  • Saltto taste
  • Sugar1 tsp
  • Cilantro (for garnish)small bunch

    Finely chop or blend shallots and garlic.

    In a pot, combine tempoyak, chili paste, chopped shallots and garlic, and water. Bring to a simmer.

    Add the catfish pieces. Cook until the fish is done, about 15 minutes.

    Season with salt and sugar to taste. Stir well.

    Simmer for another 5 minutes. Garnish with cilantro and serve hot.
