- Coconut milk300 ml
- Chili paste (sambal tumis or similar)2 tbsp
- Turmeric powder1 tsp
- Lemongrass (optional, pre-bruised or paste)1 stalk
- Shallots (finely sliced)3
- Garlic (minced)2 cloves
- Curry leaves1 sprig
- Saltto taste
- Water50 ml

If using fresh crab, cook and extract the meat. If using pre-cooked, ensure meat is ready.

Sauté sliced shallots and minced garlic in a pot until fragrant.
