- Beef sirloin or flank steak500g
- Dark soy sauce4 tbsp
- Light soy sauce2 tbsp
- Oyster sauce1 tbsp
- Sugar1 tbsp
- Garlic4 cloves, minced
- Ginger1 inch, grated
- Onion1 medium, sliced
- Red chilies2, sliced (optional)
- Vegetable oil2 tbsp
- Water1/2 cup
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste

Cut beef into bite-sized cubes.

In a bowl, mix dark soy sauce, light soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and water. Set aside.

Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and grated ginger, stir-fry until fragrant.

Add sliced onion and stir-fry until softened.

Add beef cubes and stir-fry until browned on all sides.

Pour in the prepared soy sauce mixture. Bring to a simmer.

Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20-30 minutes, or until beef is tender and the sauce has thickened.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Stir in sliced red chilies if using.
