- Beef stew meat, cubed750 g
- Dried dates, pitted and chopped75 g
- Coconut milk300 ml
- Onion, chopped1 large
- Garlic, minced3 cloves
- Ginger, grated1 cm piece
- Malaysian curry paste (beef)3 tbsp
- Vegetable oil2 tbsp
- Saltto taste

Heat vegetable oil in a pot over medium heat. Sauté chopped onion until softened.

Add minced garlic and grated ginger, cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add the Malaysian curry paste and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.

Add the cubed beef and brown it on all sides.

Pour in the coconut milk and add the chopped dried dates. Stir well.

Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat, cover, and cook for 45-50 minutes, or until beef is tender. Add water if needed.
