Bahan
- Canned Sardines in Tomato Sauce2 cans (approx. 400g)
- Chicken or Fish Stock1.5 liters
- Laksa Paste (store-bought)4 tbsp
- Tamarind Paste2 tbsp
- Lemongrass stalks1
- Water500ml
- Saltto taste
- Laksa noodles (thick rice noodles)400g
- Cucumber1/2
- Red onion1/4
- Mint leavesa small bunch
- Chili padi (optional, for extra heat)1-2

Drain the canned sardines, reserving the sauce. Mash the sardines slightly.

In a pot, combine chicken or fish stock, water, and laksa paste. Add the bruised lemongrass stalk. Bring to a simmer.

Stir in the mashed sardines and their reserved sauce. Add tamarind paste. Simmer for 15-20 minutes, allowing flavors to meld. Season with salt.

Cook laksa noodles according to package directions. Drain and rinse.

Prepare garnishes: julienne cucumber and red onion. Chop mint leaves. Finely slice chili padi if using.

To serve, place noodles in bowls. Ladle the hot laksa broth over the noodles. Garnish with cucumber, red onion, mint, and chili padi.
