Bahan
- Pork belly500g
- Star anise3 pods
- Cinnamon stick1 inch
- Garlic5 cloves
- Ginger1 inch
- Soy sauce1/4 cup
- Rock sugar1 tbsp
- Water6 cups
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste
- Yellow noodles (mee)400g
- Lettuce1 cup
- Fried shallots2 tbsp
- Chili padito taste
- Lard oil (optional)1 tbsp

Slice pork belly into thick pieces. In a pot, combine pork belly, star anise, cinnamon stick, minced garlic, minced ginger, soy sauce, rock sugar, and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1.5 to 2 hours, or until pork is very tender.

Remove pork belly from the broth and slice thinly. Strain the broth and season with salt and black pepper to taste. If using, stir in lard oil.

Blanch the yellow noodles in boiling water until cooked. Drain well.

Divide the noodles among four serving bowls. Top with sliced braised pork belly and fresh lettuce.

Ladle the hot broth over the noodles and pork. Garnish with fried shallots and chili padi.
