  • Salt1 tsp
  • Vegetable oil2 tbsp
  • Ground beef250g
  • Onions1 large, finely chopped
  • Garlic2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger1 tsp, grated
  • Curry powder1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder1/2 tsp
  • Cumin powder1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder1/2 tsp
  • Egg1, beaten
  • Green onions2 stalks, chopped
  • Vegetable oil for fryingAs needed

    For the dough: Combine flour, salt, water, and 2 tbsp vegetable oil. Knead until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rest for 30 minutes.

    For the filling: Heat a little oil in a pan. Sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.

    Add chopped onions and cook until softened. Stir in curry powder, turmeric, cumin, and coriander powder. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until spices are fragrant.

    Remove from heat. Stir in beaten egg and chopped green onions. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Let the filling cool.

    Divide the dough into 4 equal portions. Roll each portion into a thin circle.

    Place about 1/4 of the filling onto one half of each dough circle. Fold the other half over to create a semi-circle, pressing the edges to seal.

    Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Carefully place the stuffed roti into the pan. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.

    Serve hot, cut into wedges.
