- Vegetable Oilfor deep frying
- Granulated Sugar200g

Boil or steam sweet potatoes until tender. Mash them thoroughly and let cool.

In a bowl, combine mashed sweet potato, flour, shredded coconut, egg, and salt. Mix until a soft dough forms. Knead lightly until smooth.

Shape the dough into small rings or balls. Make a hole in the center for rings.

Heat vegetable oil in a wok or deep pan over medium heat. Deep-fry the dough pieces in batches until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.

Prepare the glaze: In a saucepan, combine granulated sugar and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Bring to a boil and simmer for about 3-5 minutes until slightly syrupy.
