A traditional Bruneian snack made from glutinous rice flour, coconut milk, and pandan leaves, wrapped and steamed in banana leaves. It has a chewy texture and a subtle sweet, fragrant aroma.

- Glutinous rice flour200g
- Coconut milk200ml
- Pandan extract1 tsp
- Sugar50g
- Salt1/4 tsp
- Water50ml
- Banana leaves8-10 pieces

Prepare the banana leaves: wash, dry, and lightly wilt them over a flame or hot water to make them pliable. Cut into rectangular pieces.

In a bowl, mix glutinous rice flour, sugar, and salt.

Gradually add coconut milk and pandan extract, stirring until a smooth, thick batter forms. Add water if needed to reach desired consistency.

Place a portion of the batter onto a piece of banana leaf. Fold the leaf to create a rectangular parcel, ensuring it's sealed.

Repeat with the remaining batter and banana leaves.

Arrange the parcels in a steamer basket. Steam over medium-high heat for 30-40 minutes, or until the kelupis is cooked through and firm.
