- Fish sauce2 tsp
- Sugar1 tsp

- Salt1/4 tsp

- Wonton wrappers12-16
- Vegetable oilfor frying
- Cilantro, choppedfor garnish

In a bowl, combine ground pork, chopped cooked shrimp, minced shallots, fish sauce, sugar, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

In a separate bowl, combine glutinous rice flour. Gradually add warm water, mixing until a soft, pliable dough forms. Knead until smooth.

Divide the dough into small portions. Flatten each portion into a disc, place a spoonful of the filling in the center, and carefully wrap the dough around the filling to form a ball. Pinch to seal.

Fry wonton wrappers in hot oil until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels. These will serve as the base.

Steam the filled dumplings for about 8-10 minutes, or until cooked through.
