    Gently fold the mascarpone-matcha mixture into the cooled yolk mixture.

    In a shallow dish, combine hot water, remaining matcha powder, and optional rum/sake. Stir until matcha is dissolved.

    Quickly dip ladyfingers into the matcha liquid.

    Arrange a layer of dipped ladyfingers in the bottom of a serving dish.

    Spread half of the matcha mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers.

    Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

    Dust lightly with matcha powder before serving.
