- Vegetable oil3 tbsp
- Paprika1 tbsp
- Black pepper1 tsp

Cut pork shoulder into bite-sized cubes. Season with salt and black pepper.

Finely chop the onion, carrots, bell pepper, and garlic.

Heat vegetable oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Brown the pork cubes on all sides. Remove pork and set aside.

Add chopped onion, carrots, and bell pepper to the pot. Sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.

Add minced garlic and paprika, cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

Return the pork to the pot. Add the rice and stir to combine.

Pour in the water, ensuring it covers the ingredients. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 40-50 minutes, or until rice is cooked and liquid is absorbed.

Season with additional salt and pepper to taste. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
