- Onion, finely chopped1 medium
- Garlic, minced3 cloves
- Egg1
- Breadcrumbs50g
- Red pepper flakes1 tsp
- Cumin, ground1 tsp

- Olive oil2 tbsp
- Canned crushed tomatoes400g
- Tomato paste1 tbsp
- Water150ml
- Red bell pepper, chopped1
- Fresh parsley, chopped2 tbsp

In a bowl, combine ground meats, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, red pepper flakes, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into oval meatballs.

Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Brown the meatballs on all sides. Remove and set aside.

In the same pot, add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, water, chopped red bell pepper, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.

Return the meatballs to the pot. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 40-50 minutes, until meatballs are cooked and peppers are tender.

Stir in fresh parsley. Adjust seasoning. Serve hot.
