In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

In another bowl, whisk together milk and egg.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. The batter should be thick but pourable.

Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot over medium-high heat to about 350°F (175°C).

Using a spoon or a piping bag with a wide tip, carefully drop small portions of batter into the hot oil, creating irregular shapes.

Fry the dough pieces until golden brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes. Work in batches.

Remove fried pieces with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

In a small saucepan, gently warm honey and water together until combined to create a glaze. Do not boil.

Drizzle the warm glaze over the fried dough pieces or dip them briefly.
