Boil potatoes until tender, cool, peel, and dice into small cubes.

Blanch asparagus spears briefly in boiling water, then shock in ice water. Trim and cut into bite-sized pieces.

Chop the hard-boiled eggs and smoked salmon into small pieces.

Finely chop most of the fresh dill, reserving some for garnish.

In a bowl, combine diced potatoes, asparagus pieces, chopped eggs, chopped smoked salmon, capers, and chopped dill.
