- Red onion1/4 cup, finely chopped
- Garlic1 clove, minced
- Fresh mint1/4 cup, chopped
- Cumin powder1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder1/2 teaspoon
- Egg1 large
- Whole wheat flour1/4 cup
- Olive oil3 tablespoons
- Salt1 teaspoon
- Black pepper1/2 teaspoon
- Greek yogurt1 cup
- Lemon juice1 tablespoon

Cook lentils until tender, drain well, and mash lightly.

Sauté finely chopped red onion and minced garlic in 1 tablespoon of olive oil until softened. Let cool slightly.

In a bowl, combine mashed lentils, sautéed onion and garlic, chopped mint, cumin, coriander, egg, and whole wheat flour. Season with salt and pepper.

Mix thoroughly. Form into small, slightly irregular patties.

Heat remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.

Pan-fry patties for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.

While patties cook, mix Greek yogurt with lemon juice and a pinch of salt for the dip.
