- Plain yogurt150g
- Egg1
- Sugar30g
- Vegetable oil for frying400ml
- Baking powder2 tsp
- Salt1/4 tsp
- Powdered sugar for dustingoptional

In a bowl, combine yogurt, egg, sugar, and salt.

Add baking powder to the flour and whisk to combine.

Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until a soft dough forms. Do not overmix.

Heat oil in a pot to 170°C (340°F).

Drop spoonfuls of dough into the hot oil.

Fry for about 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and puffed.

Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
