- Onion, finely chopped1/2 medium
- Garlic, minced2 cloves
- Tomato sauce (passata)400g
- Heavy cream1/4 cup
- Garam masala1 tsp
- Sugar1 tsp
- Saltto taste
- Water1/4 cup
- Black pepperto taste
- Cilantro, chopped (for garnish)2 tbsp

Cook chicken: In a large skillet, melt 1 tbsp of butter over medium-high heat. Add cubed chicken and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.

Sauté aromatics: Add the remaining 2 tbsp of butter to the skillet. Add chopped onion and sauté until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.

Make the sauce: Pour in the tomato sauce (passata), water, garam masala, sugar, salt, and black pepper. Stir well and bring to a simmer.

Combine: Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Stir in the heavy cream.

Simmer: Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. Do not boil after adding cream.

Serve: Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot.
